A Unique Collaboration

Talents from five top property marketing agencies came together in a first-in-industry collaboration for a new marketing video for GuocoLand.

Proving there is camaraderie in real estate, GuocoLand achieved a first-in-industry moment when it involved talents from five of the top property marketing agencies in Singapore to collaborate in one of its new marketing videos.

The video, titled “What To Do In Bugis?”, is part of a marketing campaign leading up to the launch of Midtown Modern. The 558-unit luxury condominium is located directly above the Bugis MRT interchange station, and is part of Guoco Midtown, GuocoLand’s second flagship integrated mixed-use development.

The five stars of the video are (in order of appearance) Justin Quek from OrangeTee & Tie, John Paul Fong from SRI, Alyssa Ng from Huttons, Tammy Sim from PropNex and Jason Chen Yewen from ERA. Despite a long and tiring filming schedule, the quintet maintained their million dollar smiles and kept their energy level up till the very end where they finally rested their feet at the K Star karaoke at Suntec City.

Produced by media agency Cinema Vérité Pictures, the video has proven to be a hit with viewers, with Justin’s Facebook post on the video garnering more than 200 likes from his followers.

One of the scenes that were left on the cutting floor – Tammy trying out the amazing giant microphone at K Star located at Suntec City, looking a strikingly similar pose with the image of the girl behind her.

Dora Chng, General Manager (Residential) at GuocoLand, said: “Featuring stars from the 5 agencies is an opportunity for GuocoLand to present an immersive understanding of the Midtown precinct to all of them. We hope that through the video, they are able to translate their experience of the interesting amenities to the others in their agencies.”

Justin Quek (OrangeTee & Tie): “A first time experience working with JMAs and a most enjoyable one. Everyone was truly making the best out of the experience, and open to discussing each other’s perspectives about Midtown Modern and the location. Above it all, going through an entire day of locations around the property, allowed me to fully experience first hand what it would be like to live in Midtown – priceless!”

John Paul Fong (SRI): “It was a great experience and kinda fun. And after moving around on the ground, you get more familiar with many fun and interesting places.”

Alyssa Ng (Huttons): “It’s a fresh and interesting approach by GuocoLand. Great to have representatives from the different marketing agencies working together on this campaign for Midtown Modern.”

Tammy Sim (PropNex): “My childhood was spent in Jalan Besar and Bugis and working on this project brought back a lot of fond memories. This is a development that will breathe life into the Bras Basah Bugis district and I am excited to witness how the old and the new will be juxtaposed and create a whole new district!”

Jason Chen Yewen (ERA): “I have been amazed by this re-discovery tour around the Bugis Rochor district. The rich mix-and-match of cultures have given Bugis its unique soul.”

Jason hard at work learning his lines involving the names of several iconic heritage landmarks, with the help of the production team from Cinema Verite Pictures.
